NEURAL PATHWAY
The sacral plexus is derived from various spinal nerve roots:
Anterior divisions of S1, S2, S3 and S4 + L4,L5 spinal nerves→ Sacral Plexus
Major Branches Of The Sacral Plexus Include:
- Superior gluteal nerve
- Inferior gluteal nerve
- Sciatic nerve
- Posterior femoral cutaneous nerve
- Pudendal nerve
FUNCTION
This plexus innervates the skin and muscles of the pelvis and lower limb.
