WHAT IS IT?
Clevidipine (Cleviprex) is a calcium channel blocker.

Hypertensive emergencies,

Infusion:
- Initial dose: 1-2 mg/hour
- Titration: For every 1 to 2 mg/hour increase in dose, an approximate reduction of 2 to 4 mm Hg in SBP is expected.
- Maintenance dose: 4-6 mg/hour
- Maximum dose: 21 mg/hour (most patients kept < 16 mg/hour)
* No dosing adjustments for hepatic or renal impairment
