Interventional Radiology Equipment: Torque Device

OVERVIEW

This page is dedicated to exploring what a torque device is (and how to use it). This is a very commonly used piece of equipment that is often times used with wires to direct and twist the wire (i.e. torque the wire). The torque device in the video is from the following wire set: EV3 Mirage .008 Hydrophilic Guidewire (REF 103-0608) which is being used with the  Concentric Medical Trevo Pro 18 Microcatheter (REF 90238).

The torque device is a handy piece of equipment. Being familiar with its usage is advantageous (image source).
