WHAT IS IT?
Repaglinide (prandin) is a meglitinide analog that increases calcium in beta cells (causing the release of insulin). Works by inhibiting ATP-sensitive potassium channels.

As sole therapy for type 1 diabetes mellitus
HOW IS IT ADMINISTERED?
Oral administration
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS/TOXICITY?
Hypoglycemia, upper respiratory tract infection, headaches
ANYTHING ELSE TO KEEP IN MIND?
Not known if distributed into human milk (however shown to be distributed into the milk of rats)
