VESSEL PATHWAY
The common hepatic artery is one of the 3 major branches of the celiac artery.
Aorta → Celiac Artery → Common Hepatic Artery
The common hepatic artery has 3 major divisions of its own:
- Hepatic artery proper
- Gastroduodenal artery
- Right gastric artery
FUNCTION
The common hepatic artery is responsible for providing blood to the liver, gall bladder, stomach, pancreas, and duodenum.
