VESSEL PATHWAY

The appendicular artery is the terminal branch of the ileocolic artery.

Aorta → SMA → Ileocolic Artery → Appendicular Artery

FUNCTION

The appendicular artery provides the appendix and its mesentery with oxygenated blood.
