Superficial Femoral Artery

VESSEL PATHWAY

The superficial femoral artery is a branch of the common femoral artery at the point that the profunda femoris branches.

Aorta → Common Iliac Artery → External Iliac Artery → Common Femoral Artery→ Superficial Femoral Artery

This artery becomes the popliteal artery as it passes through the adductor hiatus behind the knee.
